TSMU University Dental Clinic
The dental clinic of Tbilisi State Medical University: a wide range from surgery and prosthetics to orthodontics and X-ray.
The clinic was launched on 1 December 2009 as a self-financed, licensed and accredited outpatient dental institution of Tbilisi State Medical University. Since its establishment it has provided specialized dental care while also serving as a clinical and educational base for TSMU. In 2025 the clinic was officially renamed TSMU University Dental Clinic.
The clinic combines clinical dental care with the academic and scientific environment of Tbilisi State Medical University. It provides specialized therapeutic, surgical, orthopedic and orthodontic dental care for adults and children and is supported by university-based clinical and educational departments. For international patients it offers access to a university dental environment with multidisciplinary expertise under one institution.
Accreditation
- TSMU describes the clinic as a licensed and accredited outpatient medical institution.
- It operates as a structural unit of Tbilisi State Medical University.
- The clinic is ISO certified and holds a valid ISO certification.

Implants and materials
We use high-quality dental implant systems and prosthetic materials from internationally recognized manufacturers, such as SGS, MIC, Jdental, Zimmer and Straumann. Implant systems and ceramic materials are selected according to the patient’s clinical needs and treatment plan.

Prof. Otar Bregadze
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Professor
Professor and Head of the Department of Surgical Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the university. Member of the Presidium of the Georgian Association of Dentists and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. 31 years of work experience in maxillofacial surgery. Defended a dissertation on “Comparative Evaluation of Some Methods for the Surgical Treatment of Lower Prognathia”. Has published 36 scientific papers and 6 textbooks.
Giorgi Topuria
Oral Surgeon, Implantologist
30 years of continuous clinical experience. Has completed dozens of international hands-on master classes at the world’s leading educational centers. Representative for the International Symposium of Orthodontists in Georgia. Author of numerous scientific publications in Georgia and abroad. Has received many honorary awards.
Lali Kochlashvili
Orthodontist
Higher medical education at Tbilisi State Medical University. During her many years of medical practice she worked in restorative dentistry and oral surgery and later specialized in orthodontics. Alongside her clinical practice she is engaged in academic work: for many years a visiting professor at the Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy, currently a doctoral candidate at TSMU and the local coordinator of the residency program in Orthodontics at Clinic No. 1.
